The Values Project is a social practice, public art project that gets communities to choose and paint values words in parking lots.

In Napa we painted over 500 value words were painted in 63 parking lots for schools, businesses, churches, hospitals and non-profits. The project was installed entirely by volunteers, bringing over 140 folks together in parking lots in the middle of the night.
In Sacramento, we held 43 community workshops to choose 59 different values words that we translated into 20 different community languages. We painted over 350 values words in 54 parking lots at community centers, libraries, churches, schools, nonprofits and businesses throughout the city.
Extensions of this project include values workshops in schools and community organizations, interactive elements online and a series of videos featuring installations and workshops.
